Colorado Pictures

Last week Joe and I attended a beautiful wedding for a close friend of ours, who happens to live in Colorado. We had so much fun visiting great friends and seeing amazing places! These are just some of the pictures:

 Elk outside of Estes Park.
I think the pictures of elk are Joe's favorite from the trip, and they're just from my phone. :)
On the road.

Mount Goliath.

Driving up Mt. Evans, the highest paved road in the U.S.
That cone made me feel safe.
On Mt. Evans, almost to the top.

The top.
Lots of crazy goats up there.
Looking down, you can see the road if you look close.
Rain falling on some distant mountains.
On our way down.

At the bottom.
 Going through a canyon.

A glimpse of the river.
Just outside of Aspen, driving down Independence Pass.
Aspens.
Still going down Independence Pass. The most beautiful part of Colorado (that I saw) was down this road.

Going down, just after passing the sign. I have so many pictures, but I think I'll stop here! Pictures don't do these places justice anyway. You really have to see them in person.

Now for my favorite pictures, me and my hubby at the wedding:
This was the top picture in a roll of three pictures from the photo booth at the wedding. I was having too much fun to take pictures on my camera, but I love these!!
Thank you Joel and Camon for a wonderful time! Your wedding was one of the best I've ever been to and you are the sweetest couple together! Blessings on you both as you start your new life together!

Side-note: The twins spent the week with their Grammy and Grandpa, that's why their cute faces aren't in any of these pictures!

Summer Heat

Sometimes, we get bored splashing around in our little kiddie pool and need a change of scenery. We get bored and HOT. Driven into the house by heat, certain five year old's jump off of furniture, throw frisbees in the house, hang off of their mother saying "Mama mama mama mama mama mama" - you get the point. So to beat the heat induced boredom and save one Mom (me) from complete insanity, we've been getting out and about:

Playing at a local spray park.

This face makes me smile :)

Boys and water-guns = a match made in heaven!

Eating ice cream!!!

Also: Joe got the boat running and we went out on the river yesterday! That was so much fun, but I didn't take any pictures. You'll just have to imagine how nice it was, riding down the river and then relaxing in the cool water. Aaah.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Happy Monday!

Friday Randoms

 Playing in the pool.
Jumping into the pool. This was in the evening, so the picture is a little dark. You can still see his enthusiasm!
 Isaac's picture of "Orange Man."
 Savannah and hello kitty.
Isaac in his Spiderman mask. Savannah took this picture with my phone!

I hope everyone had a great week! Happy Friday!

Garden +

The corn we planted in a neighbor's field. It looks a little puny right now, although it's grown some since this picture.

Blueberries we picked the other day. These are Isaac and Savannah's buckets. We went with Mimi, and she brought them some lemonade. As we were leaving the blueberry patch, we caught Isaac pouring lemonade into his bucket of berries and smashing them to pieces. He said he was making blueberry lemonade. *sigh*

Cooking up some veggies. The squash and jalapenos are from our garden.

 Tomato blossoms.
 Tomato plants.
No ripe tomatoes yet, but they're growing!
Bush beans.
Side view of the garden. You can see the tomato patch behind the chicken pen. The twins love to feed the chickens and pick vegetables! Isaac gets so excited when we have ripe squash for him to pick, but ironically he would rather go to bed hungry than eat it.

A few more pictures:
Savannah lost her second tooth this week. They are on a roll! She keeps telling me about the food she can't eat because "It hurts my goned tooth". :)
 Isaac at the playground :)
These boys were funny. I did not know what to think about all the "smack" they were talking to each other! They seem very young to be doing that already! Cute and hilarious.

That's it on the picture overload! (for now)

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
