Graduations and nostalgic thoughts

Everywhere I look these days I see graduation pictures, cards, fresh faced kids about to embark on their adult lives!! So, just so I could make myself cry and get all emotional (ha!), I was looking through some pictures of Jesse's graduation from A YEAR AGO... I can't believe it's been a whole year:

It has been a crazy/ busy year for this guy! I love you Jesse!

My kids just turned 10 this year, my baby brother graduated a year ago, I started taking "evening primrose oil" to keep the wrinkles away... lol.

Life is beautiful and fleeting and heart-wrenchlingly wonderful, so savor every moment with the people that you love. These are the best things in life, and the ones that truly matter.

Portraits: Isaac, age 9 1/2

I took this picture about a week ago, but it got dark so I wasn't able to take anymore and had to wait for a day with better lighting! Thus, the reason this picture is different than the rest. I really like it though, so including it in this post.

Aiden Daniel Inman

On March 30th at 1:04 pm, my lovely sister Jessica gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Aiden Daniel Inman:

Jessica, Daniel, and little Aiden.     [photo taken by Melissa Duncan]

About a week later, we finally got to meet him:

Savannah, Isaac, and Aiden Daniel. The twins are enamored with him. They were amazed by his tiny fingers and ears. Savannah thought he looked "just like his name" and Isaac talked to him and told him he never had to be afraid. They make this mama feel all the feels ;)

We love you Aiden Daniel, and can't wait to see you again.

Jesse

My baby brother is graduating from high school this year. (how strange is that?) I snapped a few pictures of him while we were on a hike the other day:
