Eatin' Cake

Savannah and Isaac eat Pawpaw's birthday cake off of the back of his pick-up truck. I was going to stop them, but everyone wanted to take pictures :-) This was taken last weekend, at Joe's grandparent's house in south Alabama. Yet another crawfish boil, but no pics of the crawfish this time.

Easter Pictures

Isaac didn't want to be a part of the picture. He was busy. It still turned out cute, though.
Me and Savannah :) I tried to get one of me and Isaac, but he didn't want to have any part of it. He really didn't cooperate for pics that day!
Joe didn't feel well on Easter, but he still enjoyed the babies :)

Savannah is so funny;)

Isaac loved the Easter candy that MiMi brought him!

Back outside. The sun was getting in their eyes.

Our computer is broken, and I haven't been able to get on the internet or post pics. Right now I am borrowing Joe's laptop. Joe is feeling better, but he has been doing too much! both of his legs are numb, and there is a lot of swelling in his back. I'm glad that he has a Dr.'s appointment Wed. ! He will probably listen to the Doctor!

Joe's Surgery

Joe's back surgery was Wednesday afternoon. It went pretty well, it just took much longer than expected. He was very miserable wed. night. The morphine made him itch like crazy, and he was in pain, to say the least. We didn't sleep much (another understatement), who can sleep in a hospital anyway? Thursday morning I poured splenda into the trash recepticle at Starbucks instead of in my coffee. Two teenage girls pretended that I wasn't crazy. Then I spilled coffee on my shirt and wore it the whole day (not the first time for that to happen). Later when I went to get Joe's prescription filled at Walmart, I let the babies open cheese crackers (nabs), and we left a trail everywhere we went. And Isaac had cheese in his hair AND his ears. And all over. Before I had kids I guess I thought that there were some things that I "would never do", like eating messy things in a store. I've done several of those things now. I'm not even counting. All I can say about THAT is: If you don't have children of your own, you can't pass judgement (you shouldn't anyway), and you will not know what it is like to have children until you have children OF YOUR OWN. Period. I've learned this the hard way. Anyway, I'm getting side-tracked.
For me, the day could have been much worse. Thank you Lord! Joe is feeling better, but he is still in a lot of PAIN. His recovery should be about 6 wks. Please pray for him. Thank you.

David's Visit, Crawfish Boil

These crawfish were delicious! Some of the best I've had!
We were so excited that Joe's friend, David came to visit! He lives in the D.C. area, and we hadn't seen him in a couple of years.

The babies had so much fun with Uncle David!!

Joe and David :)

Coffee Shop Pictures Saturday

So, this pic is at our house. Melissa snapped it while we were making a tent :-) Turn around Isaac!!
That is chocolate milk. I had a double americano. Should have been a triple.

Isaac was fascinated with the fake trees.

Isaac and one of my best friends, Melissa (who also happens to be my sis. I have four sisters.)

Outside with the Chickens

I received this awesome blog award from Ace at http://ifyouthinkroundisfunny.blogspot.com/ I really enjoy her funny and inspiring blog :-)
Thank you Ace! I am so flattered!
Early in the day. Isaac is watching the chickens.

Savannah is watching the chickens.

This was much later. S & I love their cars!

The chickens start to go into their house around sunset.

They are starting to file in!

This was after they were in the house, trying to get comfortable. I don't think that they appreciated me using the flash.

I guess she came out to tell me to settle down and leave them alone.

Joe loves these chickens! He is always checking on them, and he likes to watch them roost at night, if he can. The other day when he went out to feed them, one of the chickens was lying on her back with her feet in the air. He immediately ran over to her, thinking that she was dead. Suddenly she jumped up and ran around the pen. She got him good.

I had to laugh.
