First Fair

This weekend we drove the short distance to Mississippi and took the twins to the "Ultimate Fair". (not what I named it - just what the sign said!)

They were so so so excited. This was their first time to attend a fair, ride rides, eat cotton candy...

First ferris wheel ride - I went with them! They were very impressed with the view.

They met some new friends! Twin boys who are almost six. They just happened to all get on the same ride.

* I just realized (while looking through old posts), that the twins have had cotton candy before at a fall festival when they were three! They were just too young to remember. So I guess this was their first time to have cotton candy and remember they had it. Which doesn't really matter because cotton candy isn't terribly important. I'm only mentioning it because I feel like a big fat liar. Ha!

Savannah

This little girl is so relieved to have her top teeth out:

The tooth fairy's been falling short on her job lately and didn't show up last night. Savannah said "that's ok, maybe she doesn't work on Sundays". She's leaving the tooth under her pillow and hopefully the tooth fairy will come by and get it tonight!

*Note to self: must. stay. awake.

Easter Egg Hunt

The cousins came over yesterday! It is their spring break this week, so they came to play and we had an egg hunt. They had a blast:

   We gave them each a "Now We Are Six" book, with a special note inside from us. Maybe this wasn't their favorite gift, but it was mine! Ha! :)

The Twins Are Six!

Just a couple of iphone pictures from today after we decorated cakes:

 This cake combines two of Savannah's favorite things: mermaids and lalaloopsy. Or as Savannah says, "loopsylally".

This cake combines more than a couple of Isaac's favorites: football, Alabama, Hulk and Thor. Believe me, it could have included a lot more!

Well, our sweet chilluns' are six years old!

Lately

We went on a nice hike yesterday, to our neighbor's cabin in the woods. The twins loved this porch swing:

Also, we recently visited my Grandparent's place and cleaned some stuff out of the old barn:

Here they're standing by my favorite climbing tree, a large magnolia behind my Grandparent's house. I grew up close to them and climbed this tree countless times!
