Coffee Shop Pictures Saturday

So, this pic is at our house. Melissa snapped it while we were making a tent :-) Turn around Isaac!!
That is chocolate milk. I had a double americano. Should have been a triple.

Isaac was fascinated with the fake trees.

Outside with the Chickens

I received this awesome blog award from Ace at http://ifyouthinkroundisfunny.blogspot.com/ I really enjoy her funny and inspiring blog :-)
Thank you Ace! I am so flattered!
Early in the day. Isaac is watching the chickens.

Savannah is watching the chickens.

This was much later. S & I love their cars!

The chickens start to go into their house around sunset.

They are starting to file in!

This was after they were in the house, trying to get comfortable. I don't think that they appreciated me using the flash.

I guess she came out to tell me to settle down and leave them alone.

Joe loves these chickens! He is always checking on them, and he likes to watch them roost at night, if he can. The other day when he went out to feed them, one of the chickens was lying on her back with her feet in the air. He immediately ran over to her, thinking that she was dead. Suddenly she jumped up and ran around the pen. She got him good.

I had to laugh.

My 25th Birthday, Sunday March 22nd

You can tell that I took these pics myself - the babies were so cute!
I can see Savannah's little dimples :) and her chipped tooth from when she fell at THE LIBRARY, of all places...

Eating ice cream at Mom's house Sunday. She cooked me a nice birthday dinner :) What is that on his face? Oh well...

You can tell that Mom homeschools... ;)

Coffee that Joe gave me. I love coffee, and like to try different kinds. This is really good.

Cake that my sis Melissa made, and the blue Fiesta coffee cups she gave me. I also have a thing for coffee cups...

The babies are checking out the cake. Mmmhhmm...

Fun family pic. Savannah gets so excited :)
Joe has been having alot of trouble with his back. It has been hurting for a while, and the pains have been shooting down his leg and into his foot. He is probably going to have surgery soon, and has an appointment next week. Please keep him in your prayers. I am just so thankful that it is his back and not something worse! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband!

Isaac Washes Dishes, We Play at the Park

Isaac "helps" wash dishes.
Savannah makes a funny face :)
This was last week at the park. We had a picnic, and Isaac & Savannah played hard!
Accept for when they were ridin' in the stroller:-)
This is what they did while I walked:

Cheesy smile!
Picnic fun! This was right before he fell off of the bench :( He wasn't hurt though!

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Jessica is my slightly older sister, and it is her birthday. She is one of my very best friends. I love you Jessica! :) Jessica is the one in the pink dress and I'm the big fat baby.
Me on the left and Jessica on the right as we hold our first cabbage patch dolls. We loved those!

Best friends. This is my favorite. This is when I was shorter than Jessica :) I know Jess, I had to say it! Jessica and I had such a great time hanging out, learning, being "partners in crime", "imagining" together, sharing everything... There isn't enough time and space to tell all!

Jessica is a wonderful sister and a great friend. The best. And an awesome Aunt!
We love you Jessica, and I hope we get to see you soon. XOXO
Your Sister and Friend,
Bethany

An update on this weekend: My Mom had surgery on Friday, but she is doing well and feeling a lot better. Please keep her in your prayers. Thank you

Savannah and Isaac Play Outside (and inside), Chicken House Update

Sittin' on the couch.

Mama's little angel :)

Mama's 'nother little angel :)

Savannah picks clover.... Yes, they are wearing their pj's. They already got buttered muffin on them anyway. Savannah loves these rubber boots. Ms. Sonya found them at a thrift store or yard sale, and they are too big, but Savannah wants to wear them ALL OF THE TIME. I think Ms. Sonya actually got them for Isaac, but Savannah claimed them immediately. Isaac couldn't care less ( a good thing).

Isaac on his tricycle. He likes to do acrobatic type moves. I'm trying to teach him how to peddle.

The chicken house has a roof:

Growing Babies & Chickens

This is the chicken house that Joe built Saturday. All it needs now is the tin roof.
She seemed to be sizing me up.

They are really growing fast!! Next week they should be big enough to put in a pen.

**********************************************************

Savannah and Isaac had their two year check-up yesterday. Savannah seemed worried as soon as we walked in. Last time she went to the Dr. she was sick and had to get a shot, so I was hoping she would not remember that. She fussed a little about stepping on the scales ( I do that too), but when we got to the room she started crying at the top of her lungs. Tears were rolling down her face, and she was very LOUD. She seemed terrified, and nothing I said or did could console her. I am so glad that Ms. Sonya (my mother-in-law) came with me to help out! She was holding Isaac, who was very nonchalant about the whole thing. He looked at Savannah quizzically, although during the last appointment HE was the one crying and carrying on! At least they take turns some of the time.

Afterward our Dr. gave them some cute stickers and I said "say thank-you." Savannah sniffed and said in a muffled voice " tank-too, bye bye." Isaac was very sweet and said "bye, bye" too. I never know if one or both of them will cry. I try to train them at home, but I still can't predict how they will act in certain situations. Oh well! Every day is an adventure!!

Both of them are doing great! They are healthy, and above average on height and weight. Isaac is above the growth chart curve in height: he is 37 inches long. Savannah is in the 90Th percentile for her height at 35 1/2 inches. They both weigh 33 pounds.
